Parking around California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park

MUSIC CONCOURSE GARAGE

1. Entrances located at Fulton St. & 10th Ave. and near west end of CAS at Music Concourse Drive and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
2. Hours of operation:  6:30 AM-10:00 PM.  (Perhaps later hours during nights with museum activities?)
3. Rate:  $2.50 per hour weekdays.  Weekends $3.00 per hour.
4. $10 flat rate parking after 5:30 PM to closing time.

STREET PARKING

NO parking in front of CAS or DeYoung Museum in the Music Concourse area.

Free street parking on Middle Drive East in back of the Academy and on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive between 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM with 4-hour limits between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM on weekdays.  (Meter maids can be active in the area.)  No parking time limits on weekends.  (NO PARKING IN THE PARK BETWEEN 10:00 PM -- 6:00 AM EVERYDAY).  It is possible that parking will be allowed after 10:00 PM if there is an event in CAS or DeYoung, but this is not guaranteed.  Additional parking is available a little further away (ca. ¼ mile) on John F. Kennedy Drive.

Street parking is also available in the Inner Sunset area (around 9th Ave. & Irving) south of park or in the Richmond District north of the park.  Metered parking in commercial areas during business hours (i. e., generally until 6:00 PM).
