Gain an overview of the types of land use and transportation models in common use throughout California, their strengths and weaknesses, and how they can be used together to provide a platform for informing land use and transportation decisions.

As Green Technology Evolves, So Do Educational Options:
UC Davis Extension Launches Sustainability Studies Program

DAVIS, Calif. Recognizing the integrated nature of sustainable solutions, UC Davis Extension has unveiled its new program, Sustainability Studies, a multidisciplinary unit that combines aspects of green building, sustainable design and energy. This unique collaboration allows UC Davis Extension to serve a variety of sectors, including energy, planning and policy, environmental and water resources, and public health, with practical, timely training and flexible certificate programs. Sustainability Studies provides the practical knowledge and emerging tools to help professionals become innovators in sustainability and green technology.

The Sustainability Studies program lets students design a course of study that meets their needs. Students can take one course, pursue a whole certificate or choose from a number of courses within a variety of programs to create the education they need to advance their careers. Programs include:
•  Green Building and Sustainable Design •  Online Sustainability and the Built Environment •  Online Energy Resource Management •  Renewable Energy •  Solar Energy Systems and Design •  LEED and Green Construction
